7 Things Sunday…Create… 10.12.2025

Hey good people, happy Sunday!

This week’s reflections came to me under the sun at Broadway Farms. I brought the girls out to enjoy the start of pumpkin season, and somewhere between the corn maze, the geese, and that big homemade trampoline, I was reminded of some truths about life, joy, and creating the world you want to live in.

Here are 7 things on my heart this Sunday:

1. You Don’t Need a Lot to Have a Lot

Every time I step onto a small farm or outdoor space like Broadway Farms, I’m reminded that simple things can bring so much joy. Pallet-built playhouses, a fire pit made from an old piece of equipment, or a few twinkle lights can turn an empty space into a smile. Joy doesn’t require a lot, just creativity and intention.

2. You Already Have What You Need

Being there reminded me that I already have land, tools, creativity, and the know how to build the life I dream about. Sometimes in the chaos of everyday life, it’s easy to forget that we are equipped to create what we want. We can do this it’s not about being different from anyone else; it’s about choosing how we spend our time.

3. Slow Down

Life gets busy. Monday through Friday. 8 to 5. 6 to 9. But if the busyness stopped, what would you want your life to look like? For me, it’s sunshine, kids playing outside, friends filling the yard, and hands dirty from building something new. It’s slowing down long enough to dream and then shaping life around that dream.

4. Build Spaces

Watching the girls run and laugh reminded me that I want to create a home that invites connection  a place where people want to gather, play, and stay awhile. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be expensive. It just has to be intentional.

5. Opens Your Eyes

When I pause long enough to notice all that God has provided the space, the ideas, the opportunities  it hits me deeply. It shifts my focus from what’s missing to what’s already here.

6. Quiet Moments

Mamas, when you finally get a sliver of quiet, where do your thoughts go? Are you scrolling through someone else’s story, watching their life pass by, or are you dreaming about your own? We owe it to ourselves to protect those moments, to think, to plan, and to breathe life into our own visions.

7. Create/Consume

At the end of the day, it’s a choice. We can consume other people’s lives on our screens, or we can step outside, build something, plant something, gather people, and create a life that’s beautiful on our terms. And when we do, there will come a moment when we sit back, look around, and say, “This is exactly what I hoped for.”

This week, I’m choosing creation over comparison, presence over busyness, and gratitude over distraction.
