Our Story

Hi! I am Alisa.

I am a North Louisianan multi-hyphenate, dabbing in multiple avenues from podcasting to publishing. I have over a decade in the mental health industry and have had the privilege of interacting with exceptional families all over Louisiana.

I have had a life long dream of writing a book and in 2023 I finally made my dream a reality. I have penned a children's book series named Mae and McKinley after my two oldest daughters about our adventures as a family. After which I created two kids workbooks, Mae and McKinley ABC and Numbers ( Hair edition).

I created two planners one coined after my business name, In the South, and the other to connect  Black girls/ women to our heroic southern heritage. We know without a plan, nothing is happening, so write it down and get to work!  I am a lover of a good to do list, and thought it would be a great idea to to come up with an easy to use planner. 

SHIRTS!  I am obsessed with T shirts. They are the favorite things in my closet. There is nothing better than a cozy shirt and sweat shirt. You can dress them up or down, regardless of how you do it there is always a feeling of comfort when a t shirt is being worn. 

I am on a creative expedition to accomplish my wildest dreams while making an impact on the surrounding community.
