7 Things Sunday- Slower Pace -6.30.24

Hey ya’ll!
Coming back to our regular scheduled programming. It’s been a lot of emotions in the Nelson househol this week. We started the week off strong with a birthday celebration and actually ending the week still celebrating.

Let’s get into it.

1.Tried a new local coffee  shop  the owner is really sweet and we had a good conversation to say it was our first time meeting  Over the last 6 months I’ve realized how important it is to be intentional about supporting local businesses. I would love it if one day our communities creativity and hard work just made streets and streets of local businesses. That would be cool to see.
2. Celebrated a 5th birthday. Years ago I took a page out of Kris Jenners book and started to order the same type of cake every celebration. Unless it’s super special and I’ll illicit one of my favorite bakers to make my vision come to life. Otherwise I love a good rosette.
3. Look what came in!!! I am slowing adding to my pop up stuff. I love it.  Shout out to Henny for helping me order this.
4. Thursday marked the end of S.O.A.R. I am so thankful for this program in our area. Not only does it keep our kiddos in an extended learning environment but it helps cut the cost of daycare for us in a major way. I also believe this helps the kiddos who might not be excelling in the traditional subjects to fall in love with Robotics , Art , and Stem. Which will build their confidence and connections with their schools.
5.The recycling center was PACKED on Friday I pulled up and was shocked at the amount of people who were there. I know it’s only been there of a couple years but the community is using it so shout out!
6. Brought the kids to play at the new playground. I was super excited to see them add this play-set the rec while they played I took some time to walk.
7. Started this book on my flight to North Carolina but I haven’t finished yet. There was a lot I didn’t know about her. Shout out to her because she def started the book right.
7.
It’s been a couple weeks since I’ve read a book. Im always so shocked at people’s life experiences and how they got to where they are.

I have enjoyed a slower pace these couple of weeks. Hope summer has been good to yall.
