7 Things Sunday… Blowing in the wind… 9.01.2024
Hi
Happy September! Mama’s we made it thru the summer. August was a whirlwind. I feel like it just started and then I blinked and it was over. I am very thankful for how summer worked out for us. We didn’t do as much traveling as we normally do but we did squeak out one vacation for the kids before school started. The girls spent their first month of summer at the SOAR program. That really helped the descent from full time learning to fun and summer.July they were at daycare, going on field trips and swimming a couple times a week. I can not express how thankful I am everything worked out.
For our vacation we went to Dallas, TX. is always a good time. Here’s 7 things from that trip that we enjoyed.
1. My best friend and my God daughter live in Dallas. This year was the first time in a long time that we didn’t have multiple visits. Usually we are here at least 3/4x a years. They live in a small suburb outside the city. There are walking paths and parks it seems like on every block.
2. The first night we had a a glow party. She bought a “ disco” light and glow in the dark braclets and glasses and the girls danced and sang! It was soo fun.
3. We went to the Allen/ Ford community pool. It was amazing ! We were there for maybe 2/3 hours and it was perfect for all ages.
4. You know there is no trip without a trip to Target. We visited 4. Something I love is seeing the different things that are on the racks. Of course you know I’m going straight to the clearance racks. I got some amazing deals. You should check out my YouTube (@TrappedintheSouth) for the haul.
5. Frisco has an amazing library. I literally don’t have words for how amazing it is. It really showed me a difference in how LA prioritizes certain things. I hope that we can shift that in the coming years.
6. I’m really proud of my girls. They were so chill on the ride over. I made sure they had books and color pages and some movies from the library. oh don’t forget the snacks! The snacks is honestly what prob kept them going.
7. One night we ate at Hats Creek. Really chill restaurant that has an outdoor play ground. The food was good and the customer service was GREAT. I def recommend.
I hope yall enjoyed our little Dallas recap. I hope you and your families find time to get out of your norm. Whether that’s a week trip, a weekend trip or a day trip. It’s good to see and do outside of what you’re normally use to.
I’ll see y’all next week.
don’t be shy, let’s be social.
