7 Things Sunday- Cleaning out - 7.21.24

Hey good people! Happy Sunday ! I hope you guys have had a good week. I feel like I have been knee deep in organizing and learning. Last year around this time I started a YouTube series Of me cleaning out my shop before Christmas. Fall and Christmas is the biggest seasons I decorate for and my shop was just not in order. So 2 weeks ago I started cleaning and to my surprise after about 5 hours I was more than half way done.  I went through about 20 bins( shout out to Homedepot). Four went to work for people to rummage through. Came back with 2 which went to some teacher friends. I currently have 9 empty ones which shows I made some large progress. Some of those bins were kids clothes and some of mine. You can check out some of this process on my upcoming YouTube  videos. . In the house  I’ve cleaned out my T shirt bins, my closet, the girls drawers and their closets. I’ve taken two bins to Once Upon a Child and a bunch to donation bins. It feels good to be letting go of some stuff and organizing

Hope this gives yall some motivation to get to cleaning out this season.

That was long winded. Here’s the 7 things from the week that sparked my heart.

1.A friend and I went to Little Rock, Arkansas to a concert. It was so gooood . I’ll link the YouTube video here from the concert.

2. Some friends and I were able to give a friend a surprise bridal shower at work. She was so surprised! It was a good time and I was so happy to celebrate here and her wedding.
3.Speaking of weddings, here we are at the reception. We were CUTE!

4. I’m trying to get back on my Pinterest ish and bake so here are some brownies I made. I never thought about using a cupcake liner so this is a game changer.

5. I finally got to read this look! I have been wanting to ever since it came out it was def worthy of a listen !this is what I’m going

to read next.

6.Made some corn the other day at the office. This is such a simple pleasure that brings me so much joy  I eat popcorn every night before bed!
7.JMN and I went to the NAACP banquet. It was a wonderful event and I learned so much. Here’s some facts.

NAACP

Founder in 1909 for equality and justice after the Springfield Race riot. Now 2200 branches beacon of hope and catalyst for change.

Caddo Sheirff Whitehorne was honored. He is the first Black sheriff in the 186 year history.

A fun quote from the program: If you can’t say nothing profound or proactive then be brief !
