7 Things Sunday...Lazy Gator Waterpark...8.31.25

Hey good people, Happy Sunday

A couple weeks ago, Me and the girls + a friend  took a trip to Lazy Gator Water park. It was a 3+ hour drive and although we were excited to go all we went through all the small towns we actually got trapped in a speed trap. That stop really put a damper on the first part of our trip but once we got to the waterpark we were super excited.

Heres what I've learned.

  1. It took over a year and a half of real construction—most of which happened underground before we ever saw a single splash pad. But when it was time to build, they didn’t hold back. Originally set to open in December 2025, Lazy Gator actually opened six months early, in June 2025. This is something the locals really wanted. Now they have the ability to create so many summer memories.
  2. For Westlake residents it costs $5, Seniors( citizens) $10, and the general public $15. I'm really not mad at those prices.
  3. They have 8separate sections, They have a HUGE lazy river, a splash pad for littles, an intermediate slide for the adventure seekers, pool basketball, pool volleyball, diving board sections, BIG kid slide( not completed yet). There is also a section for regular swimmers but it isn;t very big and I believe it is 8 ft.
  4. There a restaurant which serves AFFORDABLE and good food.  Although if you are use to a ballpark pickle pop, what they are serving is NOT the same. There is a covered eating area that was clean and let in quiet a breeze. They had staff taking care of so many things so the line was quick and the trash was not overflowing.
  5. The girls were instantly drawn to the lazy river, it has quite the current. That lazy river is probably the best in LA. There were life guards everywhere. So if your little isn't a strong swimmer there is help ( BUT please don't rely soley on someone else to save their lives if poop hits the fan.
  6. There is plenty of sitting, although I do recommend you bring a hat, sunglasses, and wear PLENTY of sunscreen if you are sensitive to the sun. The sitting area is not covered and sitting out for 5 mins you will feel baked!
  7. Clearly, I'm not a resident but if there was any improvements I wish could be made i wish they had a small shallow pool for little ones no more than 4 feet, so the littles can have a more free play area.

Well that's all I got. I hope you look into going to Lazy Gator Waterpark. Check them out on Facebook!
