7 Things Sunday- Mountains & Margs- 6.23.24

Hey y’all!
or should I say You’n’s.
I got to spend a couple days in North Carolina with a good friend and I am on high ! The visit was so good that instead of giving you the normal 7 things from the week, I’m going to give yall 7 of my favorite moments from the trip !

Church

The pastor spoke about prayer and how to pray. Matthew 6.

One if the best things I took from it was when God says no. When he says no he says no. Let it be, stop trying to figure out how to turn the no into a yes. He didn’t want you to go thru it and he doesn’t feel like it’s the best for you. Where was this word 18 months ago, because I needed it.

Marion/ Asheville North Carolina

1.  Gogo’s- known for their cinnamon rolls but came out swinging with these fudge rounds ! It was amazing. Fudge rounds were my second fav Little Debbie when I was a kid. When I grew up I couldn’t handle the taste of the fudge but Gogo’s recipe is DELICIOUS.

2. North Carolina is known for the Blue Ridge Parkway. The state has done a wonderful job keeping the roads and roadways wonderful to ride on and partake in. We pulled over to one popular overhang to snack and watch the sunset. There were several people doing the same thing. Shout out to Henry and Charlotte who just wanted to be us soo bad but could NEVAH. Lol

3. There are several little cities I got to visit. The most popular being Asheville but I really loved Black Mountain. The downtown area was quaint but poppin with local businesses. I also got to see Fort Hodge, Marion, and one more but it’s not coming to mind.

4. Activities for the whole family is something I enjoyed seeing the most. In Black Mountain there’s a brewery that has a dirt pad with tractors and toys for the kids to play with while the parents eat drink and party.  There were several restaurants that catered to children and our four legged friends.

The towns had splash pads and parks, beautiful YMCA’s and other community first options. Not to mention these cities are very active. There are lots of places hike, bike, lakes, rivers etc.

5. We floated down the French Broad River with the help of Beer City Floats. We didn’t tale our  phones but we had a good 3.5 hour float. The sun was out a bev was in our hands and we gabbed. Tell me what’s better?

I’ll wait …

6. Foooooood- the food was great ! Here’s the list of places we went :
