7 Things Sunday … 2.23.25...Open to Perspectives …

Hey good people !

Happy Sunday ! I’m sitting here stuffing my face and mind at Javi P’s. It’s rainy day but that’s not going to stop me from running errands and getting my to do list done.  This weekend has been a mixed bag. We’ve been in the streets but I also had the opportunity to have some down time. I’ve come off of 2 years worth of busy. Like non stop going. I find it a little weird to have some down time and I’m navigating thru what life looks like if it’s not gogogo.

  1. Church was good today. It’s was the service I always wish for. The worship so good that there’s no need to have a sermon . Like the talk the pastor came up with is not even comparable to the feeling already in the room.

I wish I had my notes from church but here’stwo things I took away.  A. I want to be a light in my home and outside my home . I know my desires and purpose  are placed my God so this deep feeling of wanting to do XYZ is not made from me alone. I have been given the authority to bring it to life so who/ what should I fear ? B. I am a light. I told someone that recently and I’m thankful to finally see that in myself. In a time of darkness do you know how beautiful it is to find?!
  2. Not only did I get a massage this week but I also got my hair done. IM THRIVING! Yall see to go check Alexis out! You will not be disappointed.3. If you haven’t found you a may Pilates studio, you need to get a months pass at Stretch and Vibe. I’m over here transforming.
Somebody play “ I can Transform ya by Chris Brown”

4. Kids have been heavily in my mind this week. The idea babies don’t have loving parents to come home to. That kids don’t have parents who want them. It really pulls at my heart strings.
I got to hold a sweet baby girl at a birthday party yesterday. The girls wanted to touch and talk to her.
Although I desire this home full of fun and laughter I know everything isn’t always that way. I also want to keep the promises I’ve given my girls to love them, be present for them and the teach them and honestly I don’t believe I can stretch any further at this moment. I’ve offered up a lot of prayer for our community this week. I’m not sure for who but I hope they’ve received it and God has answered their needs/ wants.

Plus who needs more kiddos when I have all my nieces and nephews. 5. Book club meet for the month. None of us liked the book so we were just chatting about life. I love finding similarities in strangers. Makes me feel less alone.  I started Keke Palmers new book. I really like it. Here’s some quotes that I’m going to be having some discussions about.

Even if you’re working for someone else, you should still be negotiating with yourself about what’s worth your time and what isn’t. What are you willing to let go of and what aren’t you? These questions should appear as you’re walking in your purpose.

Never let your dream die in the midst of doing the things you have to do to get what you need to invest in yourself. This is the hardest part, but you are worth it.

6. Found this on one of my IG faves story. Better believe I’m doing this on my Jean vest.

7. This week I’m challenging myself to do something from my vision board. I need to get at least 1 thing done from it. I’m excited because everything on there is awesome.
Where are yall with 2025 goals ?
